What is OpenCoven?

OpenCoven is a workspace for agentic builders — people creating, coordinating, and working alongside AI agents.

It brings agents, tools, skills, chats, terminals, browsers, codebases, and workflows into one extensible environment, so your AI systems can feel less like scattered scripts and more like a living workspace.

Why OpenCoven?

Modern AI work is fragmented.

Your agents live in one place.
Your tools live somewhere else.
Your context is spread across chats, repos, terminals, docs, browsers, and local files.

OpenCoven helps unify that mess.

It gives builders a local-first, extensible workspace for creating agent systems that can remember context, use tools, collaborate across surfaces, and feel personal instead of generic.

Features

  • Agent-native workspace — build, run, and coordinate AI agents in one place
  • Tool and skill orchestration — connect agents to the tools they need to act
  • Local-first workflows — keep your workspace close, hackable, and under your control
  • Extensible by design — add skills, integrations, agents, and custom workflows
  • Multi-surface experiences — bring agents into desktop, web, chat, terminal, and beyond
  • Community-driven ecosystem — share extensions, patterns, and agent setups with other builders

Status

OpenCoven is early and actively evolving.

We’re building in public with the community, and the project will continue to change quickly as the agentic workspace model takes shape.
