The Problem

Manual cryptocurrency trading strategy development often lacks structure, leading to inconsistent testing and error-prone backtesting. Integrating new data or indicators can create complex, unmaintainable code. Without a standardized framework, validating strategic hypotheses and ensuring reliable simulation results becomes a significant challenge, hindering effective strategy iteration and improvement.

The Solution

  • [OK] Provides a standardized project structure for consistent strategy development.
  • [OK] Enables rapid prototyping and backtesting of strategies locally.
  • [OK] Offers clear separation of data, strategy logic, and execution concerns.
  • [OK] Includes comprehensive documentation and examples for quick learning.
  • [OK] Facilitates easy integration of custom indicators and data sources.
  • [OK] Promotes best practices for version control and continuous improvement.
  • [OK] Reduces live trading risk via thorough simulation and validation.

How to Install / Use with Quick Start

  1. Clone Repository:
    git clone https://github.com/your-org/binance-strategy-automation-template-project-toolkit-2026.git
    cd binance-strategy-automation-template-project-toolkit-2026
  2. Set Up Virtual Environment:
    python -m venv venv
    # On Windows
    .\venv\Scripts\activate
    # On macOS/Linux
    source venv/bin/activate
  3. Install Dependencies:
    pip install -r requirements.txt
  4. Configure Environment Variables (Optional): Create a .env file for data fetching API keys. Not required for backtesting local CSVs.
    # .env example (optional for data fetching)
    BINANCE_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"
    BINANCE_SECRET_KEY="YOUR_SECRET_KEY"
  5. Run Example Backtest:
    python -m src.backtest_runner --strategy examples.simple_moving_average

This runs a backtest with sample data. See docs/ for advanced usage.
