sorry for the late reply, are you actually using this? I'm considering archiving the repo since I no longer have the use for it. |

i use modified version currenly, once i will get to PC will share pull request for it |

According to some google results, with
mysqlyou can only use mysql_native_password, and withmysql2you can use other auth methods. Worth trying to update.
