- Around line 652-662: Update clear_saved_artists_in_flight to clear
pending_artist_selection along with saved_artists_prefetch_in_flight, so a
failed fetch cannot leave a stale selection for a later successful landing.
- Around line 664-678: Update next_saved_artists_cursor to use the latest cached
saved-artists page’s cursor_after instead of the last deduplicated artist row.
In the response-caching flow, stop pagination when a page reports next but
cursor_after is missing or unchanged from the previous page’s cursor.
Review comments at @src/infra/network/metadata.rs:
- Line 537: Update set_saved_artists_to_table_continuous to clamp
artists_list_index to the new saved-artists list length on every call, including
when no pending target exists; preserve its existing pending-target selection
behavior.
Review comments at @src/tui/handlers/artists.rs:
- Around line 91-98: Merge the nested conditions in the artist-list pagination
handler into a single condition requiring target to be at least len and
app.current_saved_artists_has_more() to be true. Keep the existing pagination
actions and return behavior unchanged.

Update `get_current_user_saved_artists_next` to track pending requests via `saved_artists_prefetch_in_flight` and sync table on response.
Update `down_event` and `next_page` to fetch subsequent pages when reaching the bottom of loaded artists, and read active row directly from `app.artists`.
Update `draw_artist_table` to render from `app.artists` instead of discrete page cache and eliminate redundant empty-table branch.
Drop `set_saved_artists_to_table` and `get_current_user_saved_artists_previous` rendered obsolete by continuous artist scrolling.

🟡 Minor · Use the continuous artist count for mouse selection. · tables.rs:320-337

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winUse the continuous artist count for mouse selection.
When a later page is loaded, the artist table can display rows from
app.artists, but mouse selection still uses the first cached page count. Clicking a visible later-page row therefore clamps to the last first-page artist.Suggested fix

🟡 Minor · Track the pending artist by identity, not by the pre-fetch index. · library.rs:658-675
src/core/app/library.rs:658-675
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winTrack the pending artist by identity, not by the pre-fetch index.
When the cursor reaches the loaded boundary,
artists_lenis stored as the pending selection. The response then sorts the expanded list by name before applying that index. If a newly fetched artist sorts before the old boundary, the index can select an existing old artist instead of the newly fetched row. Store a pending marker for the newly fetched artist and resolve its index after sorting. Keep the name sort, since removing it would reintroduce the separate ordering defect.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

🟡 Minor · Cancel a pending landing when the user moves the selection. · artists.rs:38-40
src/tui/handlers/artists.rs:38-40
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winCancel a pending landing when the user moves the selection.
If the user presses Down at the loaded-list boundary and then presses Up before the fetch completes, Up changes the selection but leaves
pending_artist_selectionset. The response then moves the selection back to the pending target. Clear the pending selection when a later navigation action changes the selected row.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winResolve pending selection after sorting the new page.
When Name sort places a new artist before existing rows, the pending numeric index no longer identifies the new artist. Two things before this can go in. A GetFollowedArtists(Some(..)) queued behind a reload still appends after the fresh page 1, so it needs a generation check like saved_tracks_prefetch_generation. The pending landing also needs clearing on any other move (keys and mouse) and resolving by artist id after the sort, which are CodeRabbit's last two comments. down_at_end_dispatches_next_page_when_more_exist should assert the Some(cursor) payload too.
Add `forget_pending_artist_selection` to discard parked landing targets whenever the user moves selection with keys or clicks with the mouse.
…orting Capture the target artist ID before sorting and resolve their updated position in `self.artists` after `sort_saved_artists` runs.
Verify `GetFollowedArtists(Some("artist2"))` payload in
`down_at_end_dispatches_next_page_when_more_exist` and update the
`ioevent_refs_in_tui` baseline counter in `tools/gates.count`.

One gap is left in the generation check. The pump reads the generation when the event starts, not when it's sent, so a Some(cursor) queued behind a reload still sees the new value. You can hit it by reopening Artists and pressing Down at the end of the old list before page 1 lands. The list then becomes page 1 plus a later page.
The simplest fix is to drop a cursor page that no longer continues the cached list, in get_followed_artists right after the lock:
if let Some(after) = after.as_ref() {
// The list was reloaded after this request was queued.
if app.next_saved_artists_cursor().as_deref() != Some(after.id()) {
return;
}
}That also covers the follow/unfollow refreshes CodeRabbit mentioned, so those need no generation bump. The landing and payload changes look good, thanks!
