feat(desktop): add Flatpak files for Flathub - #804
LargeModGames wants to merge 4 commits into
Conversation
The desktop entry, AppStream metainfo and a screenshot live in flatpak/. The desktop app skips its updater when FLATPAK_ID is set, because Flathub updates a Flatpak. how_to_release.md gets the Flathub steps.
GTK takes the Wayland app ID from the program name, so the desktop app sets it to FLATPAK_ID. The metainfo screenshot points at the release tag, and the release steps drop Playwright's browsers from the node sources.

Limit the Flathub token to the steps that need it.
Job-level GH_TOKEN also reaches pip install and both source generators. If an installed package or generator is compromised, it can read the Flathub write token. Set GH_TOKEN on the clone and PR steps only, and on the push step if its Git authentication needs it. GitHub Actions supports step-level environment variables for this scope. (docs.github.com)

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win
Fail on clone errors when Flathub publication is configured.
This branch treats every gh repo clone failure as “not on Flathub yet.” If FLATHUB_TOKEN is set and the repository exists, an authentication or network failure instead makes the stable-release job succeed without an update PR. Keep the intentional skip for an unset token or an absent repository, but fail the job for other clone errors.

| The Flatpak manifest lives in [flathub/io.github.LargeModGames.spotatui](https://github.com/flathub/io.github.LargeModGames.spotatui), not here. Flathub builds offline, so each stable release needs a PR there. The `publish-flathub` job in `cd.yml` opens it with the `FLATHUB_TOKEN` secret (a token with write access to that repo); Flathub test-builds the PR, and you merge it once the build passes. Without access the job skips with a notice. It expects `io.github.LargeModGames.spotatui.yml` with one `git` source for this repo, and `cargo-sources.json` and `node-sources.json`, at the root of that repo. By hand, the job's steps are: | ||

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Specify a commit SHA for commit.
The instruction says to set both tag and commit to the new tag. The workflow instead sets commit to git rev-parse HEAD. Tell packagers to set tag to the release tag and commit to that tag’s commit SHA. This distinction matters when they use the documented manual fallback.
