FastClaw creates a virtual machine (VM) that runs Linux inside macOS. It uses OpenClaw technology for speed and reliability. This tool brings the Linux experience to your Mac without changing your existing system. It is designed to be easy to set up and use. You do not need technical skills or programming knowledge.
FastClaw can help you if you want to:
- Try Linux apps on your Mac
- Test software in a Linux environment
- Learn Linux without installing a full system
- Maintain security by isolating Linux from your main OS
Before you start, make sure your Mac meets these conditions:
- macOS version 10.15 (Catalina) or later
- At least 8 GB of RAM
- At least 15 GB of free disk space
- Intel-based or Apple Silicon Mac
- Virtualization enabled (usually on by default)
If your Mac meets these, FastClaw will run smoothly.

-
The Linux VM will start. You may see a login screen or desktop interface.
-
Use the mouse and keyboard as you normally would on macOS.
-
To close the Linux VM, go to the VM window menu and select “Shut Down” or close the app.
-
Your session is saved for the next time you open FastClaw.
-
Keep your macOS updated to avoid compatibility issues.
-
Check the GitHub page regularly for updates or bug fixes.
-
Use a stable internet connection, especially if you plan to download software inside the VM.
-
If performance slows down, try closing other apps on your Mac.
