Workshop content

The workshop covers:

  1. Introduction and motivation for GEE
  2. GEE fundamentals and potential
  3. Reading the landscape with SRTM terrain data
  4. Following forest greenness through the year with Sentinel-2 NDVI
  5. Detecting possible forest disturbance through time with Landsat NBR
  6. Mapping land cover with Random Forest classification
  7. Building and publishing a simple GEE app

The example study area is the Forêt Duparquet region in Québec, Canada.
