La Nación Radio Web is the digital platform of La Nación, the largest news outlet in Venezuela. As part of its expansion into podcasts and online radio, I worked on the full restructuring of the website using WordPress + Elementor, creating new content flows, custom archives, and backend structures to integrate seamlessly with the mobile app.
The project involved building the new website for La Nación Radio with a modern design (provided by the client) and implemented via Elementor. Custom post types and taxonomies were created for Regions, Programs, Hosts, Articles, Companies, and Ads, with interlinked relationships to ensure consistency between radio hosts, programs, and app content. Dynamic templates were developed to keep content creation simple for administrators.
- 🏠 Elementor-based custom pages: Home, About, Programs, Hosts, Regions, Articles, Privacy Policy.
- 🎙️ Archives for Programs, Hosts, Regions (Center, West, East), Articles.
- 🔗 Dynamic relationship between Programs ↔ Hosts (assign one to the other or create both simultaneously).
- 🏢 Custom post types for Companies and Ads, managed in backend for app integration.
- 📰 Direct link to Diario La Nación website.
- 📻 Integrated radio player with external streaming support.
- ⚡ Fully dynamic content via ACF and Dynamic Content for Elementor.
- Platform: WordPress
- Builder: Elementor + Dynamic Content for Elementor
- Backend: PHP, MySQL
- Custom Fields: Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
- Frontend: Elementor Templates, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Media: Embedded Radio Player
This project was key in modernizing the digital presence of La Nación Radio. My work covered both frontend (Elementor templates, UX structure, dynamic pages) and backend (custom post types, taxonomies, relationships, company/ads system). By integrating Companies and Ads in the backend, the app could synchronize content and advertising seamlessly with the web.
- WordPress can be turned into a powerful multimedia CMS when paired with Elementor and ACF.
- Backend-driven ad and company management streamlined integration with the mobile app.
- Building dynamic relationships between custom post types significantly improved content consistency and reduced admin overhead.
This project was developed as a private commercial solution and is not open-source.
