@codex review Please review the current head, including the test synchronization change. The full 600-test suite passed locally with the failing Linux CI seed and two workers; the quick deletion regression also passed 20 repeated runs after adding the explicit remote-call handshake. |

- Line 234: Update the mapping logic used by ReturnToDraftAsync to match listed
drafts by immutable ID before clearing the provider mapping; when a match
exists, update the regular ID and preserve provider_immutable_id in the CASE

@codex review Please review the latest head, including identity-only capture for conflicted legacy drafts. The regression verifies persisted identity after restart while preserving local content and sync baseline metadata. All 605 tests passed locally. |

Outlook can change a draft's regular ID when it is sent or moved, leaving BetterMail's cached copy in Sync issues even after sending.
Capture an immutable identity while the draft still exists: request it when reading created/updated drafts and batch-convert IDs from the current Drafts snapshot. Persist it separately in the encrypted database while retaining regular IDs for existing draft mappings. Identity capture also applies to conflicts and unsupported attachments without advancing content synchronization metadata. Reconciliation and uncertain-send recovery use the saved immutable ID and require a non-draft in the same mailbox's Sent folder before removing an unchanged local copy. The outbox persists the identity before sending and uses it for the send request. Normal reconciliation and returning uncertain sends to drafts match saved immutable identities when regular IDs change, preserving the mapping without creating or importing duplicates. Ambiguous identities remain unresolved. ID translation alone opts into transient POST retries; send requests retain their existing no-retry behavior. Refreshed mail tokens include the already-consented User.Read permission needed for active-draft ID translation.
Capture identity independently of content synchronization, including conflicted and unsupported drafts. Preserve it across same-mailbox autosaves, clear it when detaching an uncertain send back to drafts, and guard cleanup against concurrent identity/content changes. Stabilize the existing quick deletion test by waiting for the first remote deletion call before issuing the second local deletion.
Validation: all 615 tests pass in CI on Linux, Windows and macOS. Local validation included the full 613-test suite before the final MCP propagation change, all five focused MCP content cases afterward, and 20 repeated quick deletion runs. Coverage includes restart and lost-ack recovery without resending, conflicts, moved regular IDs without duplication, ambiguity, transient identity-read retries and immediate persistence for MCP replies/forwards.
Limitation: legacy drafts already missing before their immutable ID was captured remain preserved and need independent confirmation. Live Microsoft Graph recovery has not yet been verified after installation.
