It would be useful to have a way to allow access to specific data on the pT such as current project, themes, instruments etc via a dedicated UI in the remoteUI client.
This is the same path followed by a number of other hardware grooveboxes.
Having a dedicated protocol will also allow for performance optimisation such as on the fly data compression to improve transfer speeds over the limited bandwidth available on the pT's USB 1.1 interface.
