Contributing

This is a data-backed list of generative engine optimization tools. The README table is generated, so please do not hand-edit it.

To add or update a tool

Edit tools.yaml. Keep fields factual and the tone vendor-neutral.
Run python render_table.py --write to regenerate the table in README.md.
Commit both files and open a pull request explaining the change.

What gets merged

Corrections to pricing, engine coverage, or capabilities (link a source).
New tools that genuinely track or improve visibility in AI answers.
Clearer, shorter descriptions written for a technical reader.

What does not

Affiliate or referral links.
Marketing superlatives without evidence.
Tools unrelated to AI search visibility.
