0.2.8 not loading, other versions do

Thank you for creating such a great program!

Win 11, latest update.

Have been upgrading versions by copying over the wiresockui.exe onto the old version (is this the correct way?) with no issues.1

However, when I upgrade to 0.2.8, the cursor-hourglass symbol appears for a split second but nothing loads. Have turned off defender, have checked task manager in case it was lurking in the background.

On downgrading to 0.2.7 -it works as normal.

For some reason, when tinkering, it loaded once, so I turned it off and unloaded it, and it hasn't loaded since.
