Downloaded app issues

Hi @viper3400 I've been on the lookout for a decent active c# (To)Do Manager type application for a while.
I had a search on github a little while a go but came up short.

I then had a look at your projects after you submitted the PR to ClipBoard and saw you are actively running one of these!
Perhaps I did not find this repo as most of my searches contained words like "ToDo" or "TaskList"

Anyhow I need an app that will popup alerts when certain tasks we due.
I wasnt sure that this app would do this from the readme but thought I'd give it a run and see if there might be scope for suggesting a feature like this if it doesn't offer this currently.

Anyhow when I run it I get the below issues:

1. Cannot create task
2. Crash on exit

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?
Running Win10
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help ID this issue.

Ha think I have just worked it out when re-watching that gif.
The file are in program files folder which I then remembered has extended system permission on (usually?)
I just ran this program as Admin and now it works.

Guess you can close this already :D

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I run this as portable app and actually never tried to run it from program folder. Finally, the database file ought not to be in the application folder anyhow ...

The main idea of DoManager is, that there is only one active task I'm actually working on and there is also one NEXT task, I could start, when I've finished. I get rid for myself to re-prioritize backlogs again and again. So DoManager helps me to do, what needs to be done ... ;)

I'm using DoManager to track my tasks at office over the day, while getting interrupted with those or that by customers or peers.

When day ends, I've got a report with the tasks I've done and how long I spend on each of them (cause I've to report my work time separately: How long did I work for customer x, how long did I work on problem y and so one).

DoManager works for me and my needs. This time it's not a fully featured task manager as maybe Task Coach (http://www.taskcoach.org/) which is over boarded for my current needs actually.

I've been able to reproduce this:

• Set the *.FDB databse file read-only
• Start DoManager in VS Debugger
• Exceptions will be thrown because the file is inaccessible

As the application is not working this way and even crashes without a hint, I consider this as bug. I will need to consider a better database file handling at all ...

Agreed I think my needs suite probably a different app.
