Device
X4
Affected Version
1.3.2
Build Variant
tiny
EPUB Optimization
No / Not Applicable
Cache State
No / Not Applicable
Describe the Bug
It seems that Page Overlay causes the last opened book to be re-indexed. When Page Overlay is enabled and the X4 is turned off while a book is open, the next time it is turned on, an “Indexing” message appears for about 5 seconds before the book opens. This does not happen with any other sleep screen mode.
Additionally, if Page Overlay is enabled and the device is turned off from the main menu, the sleep image is overlaid with gibberish text. I suspect this might be binary content from an EPUB file?
Steps to Reproduce
- Set Sleep Screen to Page Overlay.
- Open an EPUB.
- Turn the device OFF.
- Turn the device ON → An “Indexing” message appears.
- Go to the main screen.
- Turn the device OFF → Gibberish text appears on top of the sleep image.
Expected Behavior
No “Indexing” message should appear and no gibberish text over the sleep screen.
