[macos] 0.4.2 aarch64 package is damaged

When I try to run Mididash 0.4.2 aarch64, downloaded from github releases, I get this error:

workaround: use x64 version, which works great for me (however, I get a notification that intel-based apps won't be supported in the future)

• OS: macOS Tahoe 26.4.1
• CPU: Apple M2 Pro

Thanks for reporting, another problem possibly deep with Tauri framework, maybe I need to update it to latest version.

okay so FYI I pulled the latest master to check if I can build a working package myself.

I’ve currently got:

• rustc 1.95.0
• node 24.15.0
• xcode 26.5

npm install complained about some vulnerabilities, but proceeded with installation.

after npm start, everything got compiled and the application launched with a black screen and some error about missing npm dependencies: stylus and sass-embedded; so I installed them

After that, a full window loaded, but some parts of the UI are not working and are flickering abruptly - input and output monitor, namely. However, I was able to load the patch which I saved from the official x64 release and it seems that the underlying logic is working fine - even though the UI is unusable.

Then I ran npm run tauri build and got a perfectly working aarch64 build, with no UI glitches.

So it seems like there are two separate issues for now:

• unresponsive UI in development mode on macos (on my machine at least)
• aarch64 macos build process on the tauri-action side that’s somehow incompatible with my machine

Idk, that’s just some random info but maybe it’ll guide you in some direction…

For now, I’ll be using my local build, but if you need any help with testing/debugging on arm macos, I might find some time for that

Appreciate that, my problem with macOS is that I don't have it... so its difficult to debug anytime soon.

Even stranger that the tauri-action is broken while you compiling it works.
