The use of "*"

It appears that the use of an asterisk isn't explained anywhere currently, but an asterisk is used in the example. If I remember correctly, it is supposed to indicate an exceeding high level of a certain attribute.

It looks like * is actually for various special cases and not a general thing like exceedingly high level
