Hi @sergiojoker11 thank you for the feature request! We will add this to our backlog for consideration for future versions. Can you share a bit about how you use Zod and how this would help you with your Stripe integration?

Sure, definitely.

We are building the webhook part at the minute via EventBridge. Using some event bridge rules and targets events get queue in SQS and then consumed by a lambda function. So that those objects are properly typed and we don't have to do any casting we use that zod schema to parse the event as it steps into our platform. That way everything stays strongly typed and, in case something does not adhere to the schema we'd rather fail fast. If proper testing has been done nothing should go wrong in prod.

I've been working on implementing Zod schema validation for Stripe webhooks and have a pilot implementation ready that addresses the use case described here.

Would the Stripe team be open to reviewing a PR for this pilot implementation?
This would:

• Solve the immediate use case for webhook validation
• Establish the pattern for future expansion
• Be backwards compatible (zero breaking changes)

Happy to iterate on the design based on feedback!

Hi @LogicalGuy77 thank you for the comment and the PR! We're actually in the middle of efforts to both improve our event handling experience (#2498) and our type support in general; for better or worse, I don't think we can accept your PR as is right now but I can definitely see the value I'll make sure the folks working on those efforts know about this and can consider your proposed solution.
