Is it possible to set material damping?

I would like to tune how damped a material is. I see options for collision friction and vertex air damping, but not for damping based on deformation. Does the solver currently support this?

Thanks for asking. Just to confirm, are you referring to Rayleigh damping? In that model, damping forces depend on velocity, not on static deformation itself.

In plain terms, Rayleigh damping helps suppress fast, jittery vibrations while keeping the larger, slower motions mostly intact.

@ryichando I think so, though I didn't specifically have Rayleigh damping in mind. Yes you are correct, I did not mean static deformation but rather velocity as a result of deformation. Maybe constraint-relative velocity is more accurate? The point being it would not affect how quickly a ball falls to the ground but would affect how much it oscillates after hitting the ground.
