Hi,
I'm testing aritech-py with my ATS-2000A-IP-MM alarm, but I'm gettin this error

aritech-cli --host IP --pin PIN --encryptionKey KEY arm

Error: No encryption key code=PROTOCOL_ERROR

These are my system info

Is this firmware version supported by the library?

Hello, no, only the newer x500 and x700 panels are currently supported.
X000 panels use an older protocol that's quite different and to which I have no access.

Thank you for your answer! Is there a possibility that panel will be supported in the future? Or do you have any specifications about used protocol?

It's open source, so everyone is welcome to add support for x000 panels, but since I don't have such a panel I don't have plans to work on that.

It seems like Aritech tries hard to keep the protocol secret, it's also a binary and encrypted protocol which makes it not easy to reverse engineer. I had to reverse engineer the protocol by looking at a lot of captured communication traces between the panel and the official app and figuring out the encryption and after that the meaning of the decrypted bytes. Mostly a lot of trial and error.

What I do know is that the protocol is also binary and uses the same binary encoding, as it will request the panel info before it knows which protocol to use. But the encryption and messages are different and unknown to me.

Actually, I think I might be mistaken. I thought the x000 series was the same as the classic/master panels, which uses the very different protocol. But x000-ip can also be the advisor advanced protocol, but an earlier / more limited version.
So it may not be too different after all.

If you're willing to open a public port to the panel and pass me the credentials (of course not here in public) I could take a look. If it turns out to be not too different I could add support for it.
