dialog delays

For some reason, there are big delays between dialogs using OpenMotif on linux (openSUSE 31.1). For instance when quitting there are 2 yes/no dialogs and the 2nd comes up with much delay. I am not sure what the problem is. Perhaps recycling rather than killing the dialog.

I tried reproducing on Ubuntu 14.04 with Motif version 2.3.4 but didn't notice any delays. All I did was start the application, open a random grid, then quite the application, choosing not to save changes. Is that all that needs to be done to trigger the issue on openSUSE?

The problem seems to occur when a yes/no dialog follows another yes/no
dialog. The second
occurance doesn't resize the dialog (size is the same as the first) so
text and buttons can be cut off.
All reappears if the dialog is manually resized. The motif version is
2.3.4 on openSUSE 13.1.
This issue does not happen on OSX 10.6 and Motif 2.1.34 or OSX 10.11 and
Motif 2.3.4.
This may be a platform specific issue as no one else seems to have seen it.
The usual place I see the problem is when quitting (no to save file),
then the second dialog
(do you really want to quit?) is delayed and doesn't resize correctly.
