The changes are mostly in the area of detecting and notifying client programs of display connection and disconnection. Most importantly, release 2.2.6 addresses the situation, reported in issue #581, where libddcutil is denied permission to access /dev/i2c devices, causing KDE PowerDevil, and thus KDE Plasma, to become unresponsive.
