To clarify the situation, Positron does not come bundled with any Anthropic functionality, models, etc. We do support connecting to Anthropic via API key and believe that Anthropic's models are some of the best that exist, but no information is shared with Anthropic or any other model provider unless you as the user set up Positron to do so. This spyware company has not been punished at all to this day. This is astonishing. We have already distanced ourselves from it without hesitation rather than choosing to collaborate with them. I have noticed that Posit AI is currently using the LLM from Anthropic Company.

Also, please confirm whether Chinese users can access the service after making a payment to avoid any unpleasant situations.

Yes, Posit AI does use Anthropic models. However, we have a zero-data-retention (ZDR) agreement with Anthropic, which covers all the APIs used by the service.

I can confirm that users in China are allowed to use Posit AI.
