Source Control pane not available in Linux Version of Positron?

Hey All!

I'm currently running the .deb version of Positron V2026.06.0 build 211, installed in an Ubuntu distrobox container. For a couple of versions now, I noticed that I didn't have the source control panel anymore and assumed it was a feature that Positron had removed, but saw today that a Mac build of Positron continues to have the source control tab. Would appreciate any help in figuring out what's going on here!

Stuff that I've tried:

• Opening the source control pane using the keyboard short (ctrl+alt+m)
• Opening the source control pane using the command palette
• Right clicking on the sidebar to make sure that the source control pane is ticked (it doesn't even show up as an option)

It definitely was not removed intentionally!

Can you try typing @builtin git and confirming that the built-in Git integration extension is enabled? It should look like this (this is my Ubuntu environment):

Do you have anything in your Git debug logs? They're under the Output tab (near the Console), click the drop list to select Git from the channels.

Thanks for the response! Yep, the builtin git extension seems available and enabled, here's a screenshot confirming that (as well as showing what my sidebar looks like)

My Git debug logs look to be in order (I can also paste the output from a fresh session if it'd be helpful), and git itself seems to be working fine. Even in my regular editor, changes are tracked and visible (as below), it's just the source control pane that seems to be missing.

I wonder if the pane just got moved somewhere else. Can you try using one of the layout presets? Click the layout button, it's the leftmost one in the upper right of the window:

Then choose e.g. Stacked Layout.
