NickelMenu installed but not appearing after Kobo firmware 5.13.241423

Hi, I’m on a Kobo Clara (firmware 5.13.241423).

NickelMenu installs successfully (KoboRoot.tgz runs and files are present in .adds/nm/), but the menu does not appear anywhere in the UI after reboot.

NickelMenu worked previously on my device before I updated the firmware.

My setup:

.adds/nm/config exists and is valid
KoboRoot.tgz is placed in .kobo/ and processed
No errors shown on device
Device fully rebooted multiple times
NickelMenu never shows in main/reader/browser menus

It looks like the plugin is installed but not being loaded into the UI after the firmware update.

Is this expected on firmware 5.13.x, or is there a known fix?

Firmware 5.x isn't currently supported. It shouldn't be too hard to port, but it will require a new toolchain and different packaging.
