I’m trying to explore and run Sunbird Observe on my local system, mainly to understand its features and workflow.
🔹 What I Tried
I followed the official Data Center installation guide:
https://obsrv.sunbird.org/guides/installation/data-center-installation-guide
Set up Minikube successfully on my system
Proceeded with the steps mentioned in the guide
However, I ran into an issue at the following step:
cd ./obsrv-automation/terraform/modules/helm/unified-helm
❗ Issue Faced
The directory unified-helm does not exist in the repository. Because of this, I’m unable to proceed further with the installation.
🔹 What I Need Help With
Is the documentation outdated, or has the repository structure changed?
What is the correct path or updated step for this part?
Are there any prerequisites or missing steps not mentioned in the guide?
🔹 Request: Mini / Lite Version
Additionally, I would like to try out a mini / lite version of Sunbird Observe on my local machine (without full data center setup).
Is there a lightweight or quick-start setup available?
Any documentation or steps to run a minimal version locally (e.g., Docker-based or reduced services)?
Recommended approach for beginners to explore Observe without heavy infrastructure?
🔹 Goal
My goal is to:
Quickly spin up a local instance
Understand core observability features
Experiment without requiring full-scale infrastructure
Any guidance, updated docs, or pointers would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance! 🙏
