Summary

The camera feed is vertically stretched with saturated color, seems to be particularly bad with geolocation

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open any demo
2. Notice that the camera feed is vertically stretched with washed out color

Expected Behavior

Camera feed has proper sizing and color

Actual Behavior

No response

This may be related to an upstream issue in AR.js and LocAR.js: AR-js-org/AR.js#498

This is a problem that we've struggled to resolve but may be to do with the wrong camera being chosen. See AR-js-org/locar.js#28

Unfortunately, same behavior. I tested on upstream LocAR.js hello world example:

const cam = new LocAR.Webcam(
  {
    video: {
      facingMode: "environment",
      advanced: { zoom: { exact: 1.0 } },
    },
  },
  null,
  true,
);

on Pixel 9 Pro.

I'll keep messing around with it. I am gradually learning the media devices API!

Thanks. As I said over on LocAR.js the advanced constraints are actually an array but we've already discussed that there - it didn't help. The third parameter findMaxWidthDevice overrides the other constraints, in any case.
