Normally I wouldn't report pre-release bugs here but I don't know where the link to the Discord you've mentioned exists for this is so this is all I got.
As of 2a2bcc2 the gallery doesn't display video thumbnails, as far as I can tell it's agnostic of format but I've only come across m4v and mp4 so far.
Unsure if this is intentional behavior or just a feature still being worked on but wanted to report it just in case.
