Downloading image

When downloading the latest image. After downloading, I extract the file/folder and there is no .iso or .img. I must be doing it wrong. I have used etcher dozens of times. I just can't seem to get the image.

https://nomadbsd.org/download.html has lzma compressed images. For example: https://nomadbsd.org/download/nomadbsd-130R-20210508.amd64.img.lzma
After downloading the archive you need to extract it and get an .img file. Please also make sure to check the checksums before you write the image to the USB drive.
