It's not possible to automatically mark an article as unread (simply keep unread) after clicking on it #3662

Before I report a bug, I'd like someone to explain how to do it; I've tried different settings, and no matter what I do, when I click on an article, it gets marked as read.

I saw that there’s an eye icon you can click to restore the article as unread and lock its status as unread, but that has to be done article by article.

I don’t want to do that for every single article.

I want to apply this behavior to all articles in all feeds in a single action, or do it feed by feed.

There’s a general setting called “Disable mark read through scrolling,” but it doesn’t do what I want (either I haven’t understood its purpose, or there’s a bug), and there’s a setting for each feed called “Keep read status on update,” and again, it doesn’t do what I want (either I haven’t understood its purpose, or there’s a bug).

Can you help me with this ?
