It seems odd. It's a French word, and one that English doesn't use, so is there a real reason for it or is it just a mistake? I noticed it years ago, and thought it was just a general bug, but it's never changed.
For the English languages it should just be "Subscriptions", no?
The only other place I've seen this mentioned is in another Discussion where the point was over-looked by the responder: #3418
