App Version
4.2(12)
Device
for all I guess?
Problem / Motivation
I am a user who wants to be able to control which videos go in my watch-history, since Youtube's history (largely) dictates what videos/topics you're (supposedly) interested in and want more of. In simple terms, I want to watch videos of topics that temporarily interest me, without youtube recommending videos of that topic for the rest of my life.
The official SmartTube Android app already does this and I would love to see it on here too!
Proposed Solution
Add an option to the context menu that says something along the lines of "Play incognito" or "Watch privately", in the backend the video should not be added to the users watch-history. Thus not contributing to the users algorithm. As if the user logged out of their account, watched the video and then logged back in. I hope it's clear what I'm trying to convey. 😅
