Gap

docs/v2/** links to some PRs/issues (e.g. project-system #2230), but many architecture/product claims are synthesized without links to code, PRs, ADRs, incidents, or runbooks, making it hard for agents to verify.

Investment

• Add source links to key architecture/product claims across docs/v2/** and the context entry point.
• Update doc templates to prefer citations over uncited synthesis.

Acceptance criteria

• High-traffic architecture docs link claims to code/PRs/issues/ADRs. (deferred to follow-up [P2][Tier 1] Retrofit source links across high-traffic docs/v2 architecture docs (SME-reviewed) #3320)
• Doc template encourages source links and a current-state + timeline pattern.

PR opened: PR 760580 (vs-green, target main). Establishes the source-linking mechanism — a doc-authoring convention in docs/v2/README.md and a source-linking/citations review lens in the code-review skill (satisfies acceptance criterion 2). The doc retrofit (criterion 1) is spun out as SME-reviewed follow-up #3320 so the SME-owned docs/v2/** prose is edited with SME review. This issue will close when PR 760580 merges; #3320 carries the retrofit.

Acceptance criteria:

• Doc template encourages source links + current-state/timeline pattern.
• High-traffic architecture docs link their claims — deferred to SME-reviewed follow-up [P2][Tier 1] Retrofit source links across high-traffic docs/v2 architecture docs (SME-reviewed) #3320 (retrofitting the SME-owned docs/v2/** prose).

Closing this issue as the mechanism is delivered; #3320 carries the doc retrofit.
