Why not guess the Title and Artist? #1173

This shipped! 🎉 v4.0.0 ("Name That Tune") adds a full Title & Artist game mode — exactly what you were asking for. Instead of guessing the year, you type the song title (+10) and the artist (+5) in free text. You don't have to be letter-perfect: near-misses earn partial credit, with typo forgiveness that scales to the title's length. Genuinely close guesses go to Crowd Court — a live 30-second 👍/👎 vote the whole room watches on the TV — while plainly-wrong answers score zero. The host picks Year or Title & Artist in the setup wizard, and Title & Artist games hand out their own end-of-game awards (💯 Perfect Pair, 🧠 Name Dropper, 🎤 Artist Whisperer, 🤏 So Close). Update via HACS to v4.0.0 to try it. Thanks for the idea, @Hendrik0123 — it became one of the biggest features Beatify has shipped. 🙏 |

Awesome job on Beatify so far, I really love it!
I do have a question about the mechanics, though: why restrict it to just guessing the year (and the artist as a quick-fire round)? It feels a bit trivial when using the decade-themed playlists. If I'm listening to an 80s playlist, the pool of answers is narrowed down to just 10 options.
Just out of curiosity—are you intentionally leaning away from features that might make it look too much like Hitster?
If you're open to expanding the mechanics, allowing players to guess the song title and artist would add a lot of depth. For implementation, you could:
Award points for exact matches on titles/artists.
For non exact matches introduce a "community vote" feature, where the remaining players can decide if an answer is correct—for instance, if someone makes a typo or forgets a featured artist.
What do you think about opening up the game to more varied guessing modes?
