Casting Lobby and sound to a TV

Would it be possible to cast the Lobby screen to a TV and then play the game on that TV? I have tried a few workarounds like casting my Chrome browser, but it would be better if it could be handled natively.

Hi @Exacute — good news: Beatify already has a dedicated TV display, you just havent found it yet. Its dashboard.html (sibling of player.html / admin.html), purpose-built for an always-on TV: landscape-locked, big-format lobby view with QR code + player list, no touch UI.

Two parts to wire it up:

1. Display on the TV — open https://<your-ha>/beatify/static/dashboard.html?game=<game-id> on the TV. Three common ways:

• Fire TV / Smart-TV browser — open the URL directly. Cleanest, no laptop in the loop.
• Chromecast from Chrome (laptop) — open the URL in a Chrome tab, then ⋮ → Cast → Cast tab → <your Chromecast>. Browser-tab chrome leaks through but it works.
• HA Lovelace iframe-card — embed the dashboard inside HA itself:

  Then open that Lovelace view on the TV via HA Cast / HA Companion. No browser chrome.

2. Audio to the TV — this is wired in Music Assistant, not in the dashboard page itself. Pick your TV / Chromecast / AVR as the MA media_player target in the admin setup. The dashboard is the visual, MA streams the audio independently to whichever speaker entity you pick.

Could you give one of these paths a try and let us know whats sticking — display, audio, or the URL? Were tracking it as #1181 and want to confirm the doc fix actually solves what you ran into before we close it out.
