EDIT: Where is the crash though. It doesn't show any kind of crash or stacktrace in your log

That's all the log produces

Actually, running the command retroarch -v --log-file retroarch.log also produces a folder named with random garbage characters in the directory the command was ran from. Running it twice in a row produced the following two folders:

p{�\t�\u{7f}
���\u{e}�\u{7f}

the folders cannot be removed with dolphin, I have to remove them with rmdir

Check if the latest two commits I pushed makes it work. It should no longer create those garbage directories at least

Recompiled. Still having same issue with retroarch crashing immediately, but the garbage directories are gone at least. The log file unfortunately terminates at the exact same spot, so no new information can be gleaned from it:

The only option I used was --enable-pipewire

I was able to add DEBUG to my build and ran the commands above:

After not getting anything from that, I renamed my retroarch.cfg file and started the program again. Retroarch launched and generated a default config. After I made the following changes:

Same issue here; under Wayland, RetroArch is currently crashing with the Vulkan video driver. Either switching to a different driver, or running RetroArch with WAYLAND_DISPLAY="" retroarch to force Xwayland allows RetroArch to start.

Nope, the patch didn't work. I checked and paru did apply it before building.
