BendBroadband has been for awhile the only highspeed internet provider in Central Oregon. There previous campaign was loosing it's steam and BendBroadband was looking for a concept that avoided the discussion of cables and focused on the variety of services they do provide and how it brings us all together.

[Flatsound](http://www.flatsound.org/) is a poet, songwriter, photographer and apparently a cry baby. Mitch of Flatsound contacted me in 2011 about using a few of my Polaroid photos of Sparks Lake, Oregon. Of course I agree, and also offered to design the album *I Clung to You Hoping We'd Both Drown*. The photographs capture the balance between haunted and fond memories the album weaves between. The typography was hand drawn to appear like a journal of personal notes, similar to how many songs are poems reflection on the past.

21st Amendment Brewery is a loaded concept. You could possibly go many different directions. What we really wanted to capture with this brand was the craft beer can be served in a can. But how when cans are only used for mass-produced lagers do you convince the beer world 21st Amendment Brewery brews craft beer for the can and actually cares about the quality. The fun suprise about 21st Amendment is there personalities also shined within the branding. We developed two lines, the main line which is what you see here and the Insurrection Series which was for limited release beers.

American Licorice Company, famous for Red Vines, was looking for help in promoting Natural Vines. I've had many memories of Red Vines in the movie theaters as a child and when we started thinking about how to promote Natural Vines, it only seemed natural to use outdoor cinema as the avenue for sharing Natural Vines. We created a short film that would show before each movies at outdoor cinema's in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Austin and Salt Lake City. Along with some delicous treats they were also provided with an activity guide for enjoying your summer.

TEDxBend is an annual event where Speakers are asked to visit Bend and share their ideas. I remember having the kick-off meeting and given the headline Bending Rules. Our campaign for the event would be cirulating before we would have confirmed speakers. I wanted to stay within the color scheme and guidelines of TEDx, but also wanted a play on Bending Rules. I found several visual illusions the bend the rules and play tricks on our eyes. We had developed a website, posters, email newsletter and print advertising campaign to promote the event.

Back in 2011 I had the opportunity to design [Flatsound's](http://www.flatsound.org/) [CD]({% post_url 2011-02-11-flatsound %}). 2015, four years later Mitch of Flatsound asked me to translate the CD album to Vinyl. We would be loosing two panels, but gaining a larger canvas area. Even though this is not a collection of Flatsound's greatest hits, I was inspired by Tori Amos on how she reworked her collection of songs for [Tales of a Librarian](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_a_Librarian). I wanted to take advantage of the larger canvas a 12 inch Vinyl and rework the design to reflect my current state of mind, while still paying homage to the orignal design.
