How to create multiple rooms for Jamulus server

Hi, I'm trying to create multiple instances (rooms) of the Jamulus server. I did it on a Mac but I really don't know how to do it on the RBPi.

@TheRico12 I suggest you use my new Jambox release v1.3.0 which simplifies jamulus-server configuration.

On jambox, Jamulus server runs as a systemd service called "jamulus-server".
To run a second server "jamulus-server2" (defauld port 22134), you need to create and edit another systemd unit file and a second config file, and set them to use a different port. If it's not a public server, you'll need to set your router to port-forward.

@TheRico12 I updated the commands in my reply above, please re-run

1. Use new release image v1.3.0
2. This image has a desktop icon to start jamulus-server.
3. The commands I posted above will create a second systemd service "jamulus-server2" with default port 22134
4. You can start the second instance with "sudo systemctl start jamulus-server2"
5. Most configuration will be done in the GUI (changes are sticky. Each server will have its own window, with same title, so enter a different message in the chat window welcome box so you can tell them apart.
6. Each instance will have its own config file ~/.config/Jamulus/jamulus-server.conf & jamulus-server2.conf. But only things to set here are PORT and NUMCHANNELS. If you can use 22134 for port of second instance, you won't need to touch these files.
   7 If you want them to automatically start at boot, "sudo systemctl enable jamulus-server" and "sudo systemctl enable jamulus-server2"

@kdoren sorry Kevin, if I would like to add some comand lines like (--serverpublicip) where can I add it?
I was looking at this document but I can't modify it. I also tried on the config file but It's not working even there.

@TheRico12 My understanding is that the "--serverpublicip" option is only needed when running your own centralserver from behind same NAT as your jamulus server. So I don't think you're likely to need it (or other command line options) unless you're trying to run your own centralserver.

However, if you want to add/change the command line options, you'll need to edit the systemd unit file:

sudo leafpad /usr/lib/systemd/system/jamulus-server.service
sudo leafpad /usr/lib/systemd/system/jamulus-server2.service
sudo systemctl daemon-reload

@kdoren exactly right! I’m trying to create my own central server and add multiple rooms to it.
