• Compare Files
• Select source folder
• Select destination folder
• OK

Result

Trying to compare two folders, I receive the warning:

The diff is malformed. Some lines could not be parsed and will not be displayed in the diff view.

It happens on some large folders but not on reduced case with 2-3 simple files.

Expected

There should be more information. Particularly on which files cause this issue.

My best guess here is that the folders contain binary files, which cannot be handled by the diff library. If this is the case, then the rest of the files should be shown. Right?

BTW: there is an option to exclude specific files based on file patterns. Can you try excluding binary files (like png, svgz, etc) and see if that works?

True. I'm able to replicate the error on folders with binaries files but others work fine.
I actually initially tried the tool on git trees which contain compressed files.
