Feature Request: Custom Highlight Colors

Good morning. Any chance the developer can add the ability to choose custom highlight colors for the text fragment?

The highlighting in this extension uses the Find API or Selection API. For the Selection API, you can use ::selection.

For native browser implementations, you can use ::target-text.

Starting with Firefox 131 or later, the browser's native "scroll to text fragment" feature will be used by default.

Modifying a page's CSS can be achieved through other dedicated extensions.

Thank you for the reply. I am not a coder and please correct me if I am wrong but the highlight color is chosen by Firefox and not the extension, right? And customizing the highlight color can be achieved through CSS, correct?

Currently, the extension does not attempt to adjust the color (as doing so can be somewhat intrusive and cause more side effects). If the website hasn't specified a color, the browser's default color is used.
