Why do we need the "layer" as an additional Entity here and not just do something like

Only question I would have is, if we need or not to say that it is a layer. I would though also tend to leave it out now.

Not my field but I think I am okay with the modelling as proposed by Sirko. Alternatively it could also be modelled as a constraint on the property 'sheet resistance' constrained by '5mm thick'. Can't think of pros and cons of one over the other though.

For the constrain, why not using "5 nm thick layer"?

I believe this is a general question rather than one specific to this variable. Many variable names may not be very precise, but their definitions are usually clearer.

In this case, I wasn't sure whether we should specify '5nm thick layer' or just 'layer.'
