Real-time legislation summarizer that pulls bills from Congressional API and generates summaries specific to interests the user has highlighted, complete with a ‘relevance score’.

About You

I’m a senior at North Oconee High School in Watkinsville, Georgia. App development isn’t really my thing, most of my time is usually spent with C/Zig/Java. I’m super into performance optimizations and reuse of older compute in modern ecosystems. Currently learning Computer Architecture / IC Design / PCB design. I’ll be attending Georgia Tech for Computer Science in the fall :)

About Your App

CivIQ is meant to improve accessibility to unbiased information on legislative action at the federal level. By producing concise summaries without legal jargon and tailoring each summary to the users interests, our aim is to help users understand how congressional action affects their lifestyle. Our app was built using the Flutter SDK, Congressional API, and OpenAI API.
