xbot supports multiple installation methods across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
The easiest way to install xbot on Linux or macOS:

- Auto-detects your operating system (Linux/macOS)
- Auto-detects your CPU architecture (x64/ARM64)
- Downloads the appropriate pre-built binary from GitHub Releases
- On Linux: offers deb package or binary install options
- On macOS: installs directly to
/usr/local/bin

No systemd service or /etc config is installed in the v1 package. Run xbot onboard after installation to create ~/.xbot/config.json and the default workspace.
The npm package is published under the trusted-ai organization scope.

xbot --helpThe npm package installs a small Node.js launcher named xbot. During postinstall, it downloads the matching prebuilt native binary from GitHub Releases, verifies SHA256SUMS, and stores it under the package directory.
