What's Your Idea?

Using Amazon, we get (example):

Men's Adventure Fiction (Kindle Store)

Yes, we can merge this with Men's Adventure Fiction
easily enough, until the next book is tagged with it... and then it's back...

Solution:

Add 'Aliases' to genres (during merging), so that future uses of a genre are 'auto-merged'
(the new alias tried is replaced with the existing 'right' one.

Viewing a Genre would show the Aliases, and allow removing an item if not correct.

Why Would This Be Helpful?

Doing a set of Aliases merging is time consuming enough... but doing it repeatedly? Awful.
This would save HOURS of time for many people.

addtional:

Aliases that tag multiple Genres at once would be good too:

Crime Action & Adventure (if aliased this way)
would function like (correctly) tagging Crime, Action & Adventure (ie 2 separate tags)

another real example: science fiction dystopian action adventure
I'd love that to correctly become science fiction, dystopian, action adventure (3 tags)
and to be clear, I'm not saying it would add commas...
example:
psychological crime suspense
perhaps I want Crime, Suspense, Psychology Fiction (3 tags)

I suspect the UI for this would be a bit more annoying (an alias that matches 2+ items would be listed under both/all, TBD how to handle deleting)
