The srsRAN Project documentation outlines the process of using srsUE (from srsRAN_4G) to connect to a srsRAN gNB here.
This suggests that the srsUE can be used to connect to 5G cells which could mean that the cellSearch example used in this project couls also be used to search for 5G cells with proper configuration.
