Summary

GitHub Issue Summary

Problem Statement: GCS toggle reverts to disabled, preventing Google Sheets from being linked.

Expected: The user expected to enable GCS without it reverting and to successfully add a Google Sheet with read functionality.

Actual: Despite enabling GCS via the UI, it reverts back to disabled upon navigating away from the page. Additionally, the user encounters an "Invalid grant: account not found" error related to service account credentials when attempting to link a Google Sheet.

Error Messages:

  1. Viewer access issue in Google Sheets despite having edit access.
  2. Invalid grant: account not found when using service account details.

Reproduction Steps:

  1. Navigate to Ayang Trust's platform.
  2. Attempt to add a Google Sheet for read functionality.
  3. Check the GCS toggle and enable it.
  4. Navigate away from the page and observe that the GCS setting reverts to disabled.

Additional Information Needed:

  • Exact Google Sheet URL
  • Glific app URL
  • Exact error text for the viewer access issue
  • Time error occurred
  • Steps to reproduce the viewer access error
  • Screenshot from the Google Sheets page in Glific.

<@&725604282585317517> In Ayang Trust's platform, while trying to add a google sheet (for read functionality), it is constantly throwing an error that there is an issue with the viewer access in gsheet (while the sheet has Edit access for all).

When we checked the settings, GCS was disabled and we made it active via UI checkbox and saving it. But once we go to any other page (with or without logout), it goes back to the disabled stage. Please consider this as a P1 since it is impacting the NGO's operations

Glific AI doc bot (bot): Hey! Sorry this is blocking Ayang Trust — noted as P1. For the “viewer access” error on Read sheets, please ensure the sheet is either shared with your Glific service account as Viewer/Editor or set to “Anyone with the link can view,” then re-add/sync the sheet: see Link Google Sheets and the FAQ note on required permissions (Link Google Sheets, and “Sheet not found or inaccessible”) .

Could you also share the following to speed up troubleshooting?

  • Glific app URL, the exact Google Sheet URL, exact error text, time it occurred, steps to reproduce, and a screenshot from the Google Sheets page in Glific .

I do not have sufficient info to answer this question. <@&1383715800632004648>, can you please chime in here? Specifically, the GCS toggle reverting to disabled sounds like a platform-side issue we should inspect.
