Do you have any clue on how to edit this perfect ebuild to make it work on a 32bits gentoo ?

Good question, unfortunately, it won't work on 32-bit Gentoo unless the Atom team provides a 32-bit binary tarball for Linux. At the moment they only provide a 64-bit binary tarball atom-amd64.tar.gz, hence this package can only be built for 64-bit Gentoo.
