Heya, I just installed this plugin on a new PC and it appears to work fine up until trying to export a .tga file, I get this error, it appears to happen with any other file type as well. I've tried reinstalling the plugin and tried a previous version, but I seem to get the same error.

Hi @PhilK85! Thanks for sharing the log. Unfortunately I can't find anything wrong looking at it until the error itself shows up:

Some questions:

1. You mentioned this happens on a new PC. Is the plugin working fine on other PCs? In this case, is there anything different in the configuration of the new PC (i.e. different Windows version, company vs. personal pc, etc.)?
2. I see the folder you're exporting to is in OneDrive. Does the error also occur when exporting to other locations?
3. Does the error happen with any PSD file? If not, would you be able to share the PSD you're using?

Hi, thanks so much for the quick response! and sorry for my super slow reply...

1: Yeah this has worked fine on my other PC(s), I'm currently using a new laptop for a few weeks. I THINK I'm also on a different photoshop version than on my other PC where I know it works, I will try an older version to see if that works potentially EDIT: No luck with older PS versions I've tried either unfortunately so far.
2: Unfortunately it seems to happen with other non OneDrive folders too.
3: So far it's happened every time with both newly created and old PSD files.

I attached a PSD (had to put it in a zip file to allow it to upload here) file that gave me the error in case that would be helpful.

Thanks for sharing the test file. Unfortunately, I've had no luck reproducing the issue on my side I'm afraid.

Other things to eventually watch out for that I've seen happen a few times in the past:

• Antivirus / firewalls blocking the plugin for some reason.
• Companies using strict policies on their workstations, blocking some software.

To fix the issue, please try installing the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable (x86) library available freely on the Microsoft website.

Expresso uses "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\convert.exe" (part of the default Photoshop install) to generate the files. convert.exe depends on the "Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable (x86)" as you found out. That should be installed by default with Photoshop, but it seems that's not always the case.

Something you may try is running convert.exe manually, and see if it throws an error. You can find the file at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2025\convert.exe in a default Photoshop install. Double click it or, better, run it via a command prompt. If some other required libraries are missing in your system, we'll hopefully get an error message.

I've just run into a similar issue, i just tried running the convert.exe manually and it came up with an error saying its missing a DLL file, any ideas how to fix that?

@minimacman vcomp120.dll should be part of the Visual Studio 2013 Redistributable (x86) download. Can you please try installing that and see if it fixes the issue? You can find the download link here: #36 (comment)
