MCP++ Spec Gap Matrix

This matrix tracks source-to-target parity for the unified MCP runtime migration.

  • Unified dispatch service-consumption coverage now validates optional result_cache_factory and peer-service runtime usage through tools_dispatch (__use_result_cache, __discover_peers, __resolve_bootstrap_addrs), including explicit factory invocation assertions plus degraded-service fallback coverage when canonical discovery/bootstrap factories return no service and dispatch must fall back to registry-backed peer discovery or bootstrap-node resolution in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_unified_bootstrap.py (5 passed on 2026-03-10).
  • Unified bootstrap service-consumption coverage now validates factory-backed attachment of _unified_risk_scheduler, _unified_workflow_engine, and _unified_workflow_dag_executor, proving canonical risk_scheduler_factory, workflow_engine_factory, and workflow_dag_executor_factory surfaces are consumed before any direct fallback construction in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp_server/server.py, with focused coverage in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_unified_bootstrap.py (3 passed on 2026-03-10 including the bootstrap service-factory smoke lane).
  • mcplusplus_module now centralizes storage-wrapper resolution and instantiation in shared top-level helpers consumed by p2p.bootstrap and p2p.peer_registry, with resolver-order and create-helper contract coverage in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcplusplus_module/tests/test_tool_adapters.py.

  • Gated GPT-2 MCP+p2p regression-lane hardening now enforces deterministic retry/dial-timeout knobs in integration tests and broad transient-transport classification for environment-sensitive skips in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_p2p_call_tool_bridge.py and test/api/test_task_p2p_textgen_two_peers_regression.py, with repeated gated two-test verification under IPFS_ACCELERATE_PY_RUN_GPT2_E2E=1 and IPFS_ACCELERATE_PY_RUN_GPT2_P2P_REGRESSION=1.
  • Gated GPT-2 MCP+p2p stability automation now includes a repeat-run harness script scripts/ops/run_gpt2_p2p_regression_loop.sh with deterministic multi-iteration execution, per-run log artifacts (run_<n>.log), aggregate run.log, and machine-readable summary.json under a timestamped run root, validated with --runs 1 --timeout-sec 1800 and a follow-on soak check --runs 3 --timeout-sec 1800 (3/3 passes) in this migration tranche.
  • Profile-B artifact emission hardening now preserves deterministic policy_decision.decision_cid responses when pre-envelope policy-decision persistence fails (falling back to envelope decision_cid instead of empty CID), with focused regression coverage in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_unified_bootstrap.py (test_tools_dispatch_policy_decision_uses_envelope_cid_when_prepersist_fails).
  • Profile-A IDL registry hardening now deep-copies registered and returned descriptors to prevent nested caller mutation from altering stored interface corpus state, with focused regression coverage in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_mcplusplus_idl.py (test_registry_register_descriptor_isolated_from_external_nested_mutation, test_registry_get_descriptor_returns_deep_copy).

  • Profile-B artifact replayability hardening now includes dispatch-backed parent/child chain reconstruction from persisted JSON backend state in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_mcplusplus_artifacts.py (test_dispatch_replay_reconstructs_parent_child_chain_from_json_backend), verifying stored event -> receipt -> decision -> intent linkage survives server reload without live in-memory context.

  • Profile-B artifact durability hardening now deep-copies payloads on ArtifactStore put/get/import/export boundaries to prevent nested mutation leakage across replay and persistence snapshots, with focused regression coverage in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_mcplusplus_artifacts.py (test_artifact_store_get_returns_deep_copy_for_nested_payloads, test_artifact_store_export_records_returns_deep_copy).
  • Profile-C UCAN/policy interaction hardening now covers the combined denial matrix in ipfs_accelerate_py/mcp/tests/test_mcp_server_mcplusplus_ucan.py, including UCAN deny + policy allow override precedence and UCAN allow + policy deny fallthrough to temporal-policy denial (test_dispatch_combined_ucan_denial_overrides_policy_allow, test_dispatch_combined_policy_denial_applies_after_valid_ucan).
