GIMP: Hide all layers except the current one: apparently, it's as easy as holding shift while you click the visibility eye. Thanks, Ahmed Amayem, for your tutorial!

Something I thought I knew how to do, but was wrong about, and now know how to do, is move multiple layers at once. Turns out, that's what the little chain symbol in the layer menu means: it locks layers to each other (rather than, say, preventing the layer from being changed). Thanks, 'Tutorials with GS'!
