enableAlpha doesn't create valid alpha values

Expected
Given I am using hex colors and set enableAlpha to true, when I drag the alpha slider, then the hex values should change and incorporate an alpha value to them.

Actual
The hex values do not incorporate the alpha value even when I set alpha to 0. If I attach a v-model to the component, then it looks like I am getting values like #FFFFFF.34 when I slide the alpha component, but they are overwritten by #FFFFFF without the alpha value.
